Description
A Reflection of the Wheel is a game set in the Pre-Book Wheel of Time world. Originally open for five years, Reflections has gone through a major overhaul, trying to become the best of the best in Wheel of Time roleplaying. Key cities in the setting have been created, such as Tar Valon, Caemlyn, Aringill, Bandar Eban and Fal Dara - as well as the Two Rivers, starting place of the books. A system of roads, carts, ferries and boats connects the entire world. Though the road system hasn't been completely described, it is -complete- letting you explore every corner of the world. Reflections of the Wheel offers unique crafting opportunities for any level of player - from smithing to cooking, mixing various ingredients with tools to create new items from scratch, and even have a chance for "High Quality" items that are above the norm. With a completely coded Auction House, items can be bought, sold, and traded even when the potential buyers and sellers aren't online. Roleplay is, as always, the mainstay at Reflections of the Wheel. Though the codebase is unique, robust, and incredible for the mobbing experience, certain advantages - and ability points to gain them - can only be gained through active participation in roleplay. Currently looking for active staff. The code, world and playerbase is constantly improving.

Reflections of the Wheel is a Wheel of Time based fantasy role-playing MUD. Almost every aspect of the MUD has been customized with tons of fun features! The game includes auction houses, crafting, code-run quests, rare-pop Named Mobs and tons of features completely custom to Reflections. Character Creation is done in-game, letting you ask other players for advice on the highly advanced and customizable character creation system. Roleplaying (RP) isn't strictly enforced, however doing so is the best (and sometimes only) way to get the best abilities and customized equipment. Many players have over a decade of roleplaying experience and history with their characters, and are always happy to RP with new players. The staff is always friendly (by mandate), and tries to be as helpful as possible, with people all around the world to try and be there 24 hours a day for players. Supports Oasis OLC and DG Scripting for builders. Has craft and quest OLCs. [2]

Havent played long on this mud but I like the feel of it. Would be an excellent game if it had people to play it. Most I've seen on is 4 and 2 of them were afk the whole time. Maybe its because people havent heard of it. Its wot-themed but don't let that put you off its not like all the others. Someone has put a lot of effort and imagination into making a mud that really facilitates rp (thats why is such a pity that there's no-one to rp with). Its got an interesting combat system and nice room descriptions. Oh and the helpfiles are good too. I have noticed some flaws and a lot of areas are as yet unbuilt but these are minor things. The only real problem this mud has is lack of players. I think its a shame because it has some original ideas. Anyone who reads this I'd advise to give reflections a go. It deserves a try at least.

If you like good roleplay then this is the mud for you. I had never heard of roleplay when I started playing here (or the Wheel of Time books) but the friendly staff and players helped me to learn about both. You can do all of your leveling through roleplay if you like. Or if you like code killing mobiles this mud also has plenty of that as well in seperate areas from the in character world. The combat system is very sophisticated and more than just typing kill mobname then waiting to see what will happen. You can back off your attack or circle your opponent, set your posture to a range of heavy attack or defense. Come and check us out........:)
