Description
BatMUD is one of the oldest and largest LPMUDs, having been operational since April 1990. Of the current 100,000 characters, some 300+ players are online by average. The game features a unique graphical client that improves the traditional textbased gameplay and which is available free of charge. BatMUD has an extensive list of guilds, ranging from mages to beastmaster (a guild which focuses on taming wild creatures), from merchants to pirates, and from shadowy assassins to various clerical guilds. The game also has a significant player to player commerce system; and experienced players can build their own items, including ships and even cities.
