Description
EdenMUSH is a social roleplaying mush set in a cyberpunk near-future similar to the world envisioned in William Gibson's Sprawl trilogy. The majority of EdenMUSH is not centered around life on Earth however, but instead on the lives of those living and vacationing in the space habitat known as New Eden. New Eden is a Bernal sphere type space station, 223m in radius with an internal area of 630,210 square meters. The habitat supports as many as 9,000 - 10,000 residents and generates near-earth gravity along it's 'equator' by rotating along its central axis at 2rpm. Residents and visitors are afforded all the luxuries of earth-bound life, with amenities mirroring those of any similarly sized resort. With EdenMUSH it is hoped that the players are offered an interesting and exciting roleplaying environment, while still leaving room for expansion and growth based upon the ideas of the player's themselves. The world of EdenMUSH is a world in which technology and magic co-exist, sometimes in peacefull collaboration and at other times in violent opposition. Eden is a place of mystery, romance and adventure. Where even the land on which you walk holds far greater secrets than you could ever imagine. A well read member of present day society may recognize in Eden elements of a late medieval, early renaissance and even victorian earth, but Eden is none of these. The airborne island of Eden is a world within itself, in a time within itself. EdenMUSH is an originaly themed mush with elements from innumerable sources, including popular liturature, films, television and video games. At EdenMUSH we hope to offer the players an interesting and exciting environment, while still leaving room for expansion and growth based upon the ideas of the player's themselves. Despite this complex setting however, by no means are you required to Roleplay. Eden is first and foremost intended as a fun place to hang out, rolepaying is accepted and enjoyed by MUSH Staff, but mostly we're here to have fun. Come and join us, won't you? [2]

EdenMUSH is a social roleplaying MUSH for roleplay in a cyberpunk setting. The MUSH at one time had a different theme and has only recently been opened as it's current incarnation (recently being a few days ago). The MUSH is set in a space station called New Eden in the near-future. The theme is akin to the Sprawl Triology (which can be found on the internet) or the Matrix. If you've seen The Matrix or Ghost in the Shell or .hack or something along those lines, you get what cyberpunk is. There aren't alot of features on the MUSH so far and since the MUSH is being advertised as social roleplay centered, there likely won't be many. There won't be a skill system for instance. There aren't any combat judges or dice rolls. It's perhaps the way MUSHing was intended. There isn't an arduous application process either. This is stripped down and laid back. Personally, as a player, I'd like to see some fun RP and plots and such. I'm going to try to make that happen, too. But, if you're only a casual Roleplayer who likes to hang out and chat and do a scene here or there or just like to observe, you're completely welcome to join - thus the /social/ roleplay. The MUSH is still young and I'm the only player they have right now, so, if you want to get in on a MUSH at the ground floor and have a chance to shape the theme or gameplay, here's your chance. At EdenMUSH they feel that the players are integral to the creation of an exiting and entertaining theme and even have incentives for those who wish to help in any way possible. So, log in, make a character and then(!) @mail Isaac because I'm looking for some fun cyberpunk RP!
