The game's storyline itself is an offshoot of the original Star Wars MUSH (SW1) and its successor Star Wars: New Worlds, it is an active new Star Wars world beginning in 21 ABY beginning with five major factions: The New Republic, The Galactic Empire, The Corporate Sector Authority, the player-character created Systems Confederation, and the Independents.
