With Advanced Universe converting over to Trelar's SWRotR code style, Star Wars: Legacy is the last remaining FotE game. Be that as it may, it's still a rather good game. There aren't many players on, but with AU suddenly changing over to their new style, there may be new faces over here wanting to play on a game that moves quicker. The cargo system is simple to manage since any cargo type that doesn't have a quantity isn't shown. They also combined a few of the classes into eachother and reassigned how things work. All in all, I think this will be a comfortable new home and I hope that there will be new players to greet us in the future.

To advertise itself as 'newbie friendly' is patently absurd. Newbies are , for the most part, ignored..., made to feel like outsiders. There are those on the MUD that, in spite of the p-kill restriction, cannot resist attacking other players, either challenging every active player to arena combat, which barely qualifies for IC, but in no way is RP, or using the flimsiest RP excuse available to attack characters within game context. The rest of the time I spent connected I was forced to turn off my OOC and Sports channels for all the non-stop chatter. It was hard to believe that any of these people came together to RP anything, and the IMM staff had no problem with any of it, seemingly. It would appear that RP is only enforced when it suits them. All in all, my experience was very negative.

To say that this is one fine FOTE-based MUD is an understatement. Star Wars: Legacy features one of the most balanced class and equipment system I have experienced thus far, and the overall atmosphere is laid-back and casual. The immortals and players are very helpful, always ready to help a newbie out which makes you feel at home right away. The MUD offers good opportunities for roleplay with its unique timeline and emerging factions. The coders of Legacy work constantly to improve the game and it shows seeing the number of new features they have added to make the player's experience more fun. In other words, this place has got all the right stuff to make it awesome. All it needs now is YOU to join the developing, loyal playerbase. Join now and take advantage of this MUD being in its early stages to make an impact. Remember, it's those that jump in the fray early that often leave their permanent mark. (On the plus side, many key positions still need to be filled for those who are power-hungry) I'll be seeing you there.
