It's a world where vampires have rights, zombies don't, shapeshifters are discriminated against despite it being illegal to do so, and humans can raise the dead for a living. In short, it's a modern world that will look mostly the same to you and me, but the monsters that we all thought were storybook creatures are out mingling with the rest of us.
