I enjoy this enviroment quite a bit. I find it is an interesting way to look at things and interact in ways you never thought possible. It is an escape and a vacation from yourself.

This mud is great. If you don't reach out with your imagination you might get bored since pretty much everything is left up to the players, but that also provides a fun and interesting playerbase. The staff is really good and very helpful, the players are all really nice and everyone seems willing to interact with you in some form or another, the world has alot of interesting places and features. The only real negatives to it are the lack of a larger playerbase but it's only been re-opened for a little while so it's going to rise. If you want to hack n' slash then this is not the mud for you but if you're interested in complex interaction, character development, and a fun laid back atmosphere then I highly suggest you try this mud and you will want to come back for more.

Ring of Power is the staple MUD from what i can find in regards to the BDSM sub-culture. A great many people congregate and more than likely a good friendship ICly as well as OOCly forms. Plots are character driven and well thought out. Posing is not based on how many lines of text but the conciseness of statements, this is a welcome change from some other MUD's out there. Staff are friendly and helpful, even to more veteran players. The variety of settings and commands are user friendly. I welcome anyone to join, and the clarification of verified e-mails is a bit of comfort for those that wish to avoid children in any way.

I have been playing on this Mud for several months. I find most of the players are really nice, but like any Mud those that know each other tend to relate together. It is a sex heavy Mud, although those that want to play out their sexual fantasies are rather looked down upon. A pity as we all have our needs, and I anticipate 99% of those that RP on Ring have had more than one sexual advanture! That is the only thing wrong with it really, the hypocrisy, which is not such a big price for the hours of pleasure I have derived from relating with nice people, not sex maniacs! So I would say if you want a new experience, and do not mind or really enjoy mudsex as well as the other aspects of the Master - Mistress - Slave - Citizen interplay, then fill in a form and try it out. Unfortunately personal emotions can get out of hand when it comes to a mud, OOC and IC can easily get confused. Fortunately the Implementor of the mud and I have been able to work through the mistake that I made and sort out the problem. I should have never put a review to mar the very good and hard earned reputation. I let my anger at the situation get ahold of me when I posted and I apologize to both the Staff and the player base on a whole.

I know, I shouldn't answer to the last post, but it is tempting... A player tries there to put down the mud, but he is not telling the truth, unfortunately. So I think I will simply add some more information to that. This newbie has an alt for quite some time, and this so-called newbie treated another player badly. That way he did not leave me any chance, I had to remove him. My Co-Goddess agreed on that later, she would have done the same. The first rule for us is to save our players from people who don't know what they are doing to other players. But of course the beginning was right, we have put a lot of love in the game, it is our baby, like all players are, like we will always care for them, help and protect them. It is one of the nicest muds out there. Wonderful rooms, and alot of newbie friendly people. But since the head coder/implementor can't distinguish from IC to OOC, and has her Drama Queen moments, she likes to threaten completely new people with violence, this has to be one of the worst muds out there. To bad I had actually thought that I had found a home with this mud.

Its a good game and i do see about 1-2 new people every day, Its alot of fun and they dont lie when they say that the staff is nice, Its veary newbie friendly I enjoy playing it.

I've been playing Ring of Power for a few months now, and I'm very impressed with the whole game in general. The commands are varied, allowing you to express yourself very well, and the emote command is powerful and lets you fill in the gaps! The staff, Karen and Davina, are enthusiastic and friendly, getting involved in the roleplay and making sure everyone enjoys themselves. The player base, although small, is increasing and consists of some excellent roleplayers. The BDSM content, although heavy, does not overpower the game as there is a lot of non-sexual roleplay as well. The world is large and offers players a long time exploring. There are puzzles to be solved, a train to be ridden, the list goes on! The game offers changing weather patterns, daytime and nighttime, and even allows you to set your local timezone to your persona! Hidden away in another dimension is a world of Vampires, only accessible by finding the hidden gateway. Be warned, the vampire element is small but growing, with vampires able to bite and turn others with the victims acceptance! Masters become Vampire Lords, and Slaves become thralls. Sunlight even affects them, making them weak in open locations. All in all, I would recommend this game to everyone. I am playing on Ring of Power for months now and can only say that some (BDSM) features are really new; the world is small but lovely and the thing is growing! I would of course love to see more people there, the european noon/america night is still a quiet time... but in the evening there are always people, and they are getting more day by day! The emoting system is very advanced, the commands maybe different from what you know but easy to learn. The look and feel is getting better every day! Finally: the players I've seen on there were all friendly, and the staff is simply doing a great job!

This MUD is very uncommon mud theme. I like it cause it peeks my intrests in the fantasies of BD/SM and other type of kinky things. Karen and Davina are wonderful admins. Well that is all i can say for now.

Ring of Power is an adult themed role-playing MUD, specializing in BDSM and other *kinky* role-playing stereotypes. Non-BDSM role-play is welcome here, though the theme of the MUD as it is, it is deemed that no underage players should make an application. The role-play here is of a generally high standard, and the emote system is more than adequate to provide players with enough flexibility to emote whatever actions they wish. The players are separated into three categories - slaves, masters/mistresses, and free citizens. Slaves of course are the lowest in the 'social system' that makes up Ring of Power, though that does mean they cannot have their fun. Masters and Mistresses sit at the top of the tree, having access to many commands so they can manipulate their slaves in whatever way they wish, while free citizens are somewhere around the middle. The staff here are very friendly, often participating in role-play, and helping new players as they learn the commands the game has to offer.
