This MUD is based on the more classic worlds of Squaresoft. We have recreated almost entire realms from from Final Fantasy 5, 6, 7, Chrono Trigger, and Secret of Mana for your MUDding enjoyment, with odds and ends from other games. Using a Job System mostly based off of FFT and FF5, and special additions from everything to FF9 to Saga Frontier to Final Fantasy Legend, a player can change their abilities at most any point. We offer a newbie school to teach the intricacies and quirks of our MUD, which we strongly encourage using as this MUD isn't quite like your average MUD. We will also answer questions on the newbie channel that is automatically turned on for new characters, and raising other people from death is quite common. A very play-friendly MUD, with a lot to explore. As a note, while the descriptors say that we're not adult-oriented (there is no 'adult-oriented' play), the gossip channel is not necessarily somewhere you'd want a young child to hang out.

The UnOfficial SquareSoft MUD (UOSSMUD) is a long-running MUD based on various Squaresoft worlds. With areas from several Final Fantasy games (FF3 (6j), FF5, and FF7), Chrono Trigger, and Secret of Mana, and more, along with a job system similar to FF5 and Final Fantasy Tactics, and jobs derived from multiple games, including not only those games above, but also Saga Frontier and Final Fantasy Legend. This gives us a diverse set of options for any player to try out and explore. Numerous viable stat builds, job combinations, quests from multiple games, high-level available races with new playstyles, and many other ways to play the game are open to anyone who's willing to go for it. The name's a bit odd, now that Squaresoft and Enix have fused together, but don't let that stop you from coming by and exploring! As clarification on a few of the checkboxes above: - Multiple characters are available, in a restricted manner (5 max, immortals have to register that two chars are played by the same person.) - We do have optional playerkilling in a few formats (clan versus whole-MUD), with rewards. - We do hire coders/builders, but because of our unique system, we tend to require a bit of experience, and the process is described on-MUD. - Roleplaying is accepted, usually in-room (although some people may mock) but there are no explicit IC channels or rewards, except in one place (The Elsendor Militia.)
