Acadia is the type of mud roleplayers would enjoy, the areas are well done and each area has a small story behind them that can be uncovered through roleplays, my own char has uncovered some stories in her own travels and throughout some roleplay lines that have happened. Also, when they say the sky is the limit for roleplays they truly do mean that. The staff is there to assist players in their own stories, along with plots that sometimes pop up its just overall a good mud for roleplayers. The areas are all nicely done and the items balanced and very well thought out, always a pleasure to explore. The players and staff are very friendly, so if you do stop by even to look in you may get a very warm welcome and someone should be able to help. The place is just that nice to newcomers. That is about all I can say, I don't do reviews often, but Acadia is the type of place you have to check out and stay awhile.

I do not know where to begin, I have been playing Acadia for more than a month and I have one thing to say…Acadia is FUN. I have been mudding for a long time (does not want to disclose how long) and Acadia is it. With over 70 areas to explore and growing, Acadia is HUGE. Not your typical hack and slash Mud, however if that is want you like Acadia has that option also. Acadia took a base code and developed something that you should try. Acadia offers you a place to truly roleplay with others and the Immortal Staff, who by the way help with the roleplaying. They have a great Remort system where you can continue your adventures and become a ruler of your own city, guild, or clan. The sky is the limit and take it from me roleplaying (RP) is truly used in Acadia. There are quests, adventure, and fun. The one last thing I want to say is that…the Immortal staff does their job above and beyond the call of duty. The areas are rich with details, always willing to help, and create plots and storylines for all the players. They have worked hard on Acadia…THANK YOU Acadia for all the FUN.

The story behind the MUD is a good one, leaving plenty of room to expand with. The IMM's are all interactive with the players, but not as the gods themselves, leaving the glory of the quests to go to the players. It's a wonderful place for all of the true roleplayers, due to the fact that one does not have to grind on mobs over and over again in order to advance in levels. My current main character has managed to gain 5 levels on the experience rewarded to her for roleplaying alone. The imms actively seek to include the players in various storylines or allow them to interact with fairly big parts of the MUD, keeping it with the players as opposed to the IMMs all running everything big. It's big, warm and welcoming to all of the new folks and the imms are supportive of even the most recent addition to MUDing.

Acadia. What is to be said? Where to start? Words cannot will not do the world justice, but I shall try to do my best to paint you a vision. Bear with me, I shall try to keep this short, if there is a way to do so. Staff - Hands down, the best. You will be hard pressed to find such a staff in all of the mudding world, and this is absolutely no joking, no falsehoods, it is pure and simple fact. Questions from players are answered promptly and in detail by the Staff when asked, and they do encourage you to ask what you do not understand. You have to experience it to see what I mean. Moving on - areas. Phew boy oh boy, you will find nothing like the beauty that is Acadia. Now, I've mudded for over ....10 years now? I tend to read the first few lines of a room's description, grow tired, and move on. Not so in Acadia. You actually WANT to read all of the rooms descriptions. As well as mobiles, it is so hard to tell the difference between mobs and players, as the mobiles look as good if not better than some of the players! Fighting - Acadia is first and foremost about roleplay but we know there are those who enjoy the aspect of hack and slash, and so Acadia accomodates both. We have very unique skills. Wow, its really amazing the amount we have now that I reflect on it. Roleplay - Now we get to the meat and bones of Acadia. Listen closely, for this is very important. You will find absolutely hands down end of story no better roleplay then in Acadia. This even includes mush's, for those of you who know what MUSH's are. RP on Acadia meets, exceeds, surpasses, whatever word you wish to use the rp that you will find on ANY mud or MUSH. Alright, I'll end this review because I'll prolly be screamed at for making it so long, but in short, visit Acadia, I guarentee you will not be disappointed.
